Bang & Olufsen BeoCenter 2

$4,100.00 Released January, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Multi-room functionality with BeoLink - listen and display different sources in different rooms at the same time. Multiple input sources include FM radio, Internet radio, DVD/CD. Includes a second 'socket unit' that is connected to the 'control unit' through a single wire - keeps your setup clutter free and attractive.

The Cons:Extremely expensive for what it is. Not even that aesthetically pleasing - just looks like a weird over-chromed spaceship. Part of a very expensive and proprietary system of Bang & Olufsen products / technologies.

The Bang & Olufsen BeoCenter 2 is a high-powered but compact entertainment center that serves as a CD player, DVD player, and FM radio. It features a control panel and a separate socket for connecting all related components.

It comes with hookups for connecting to a home theater system (speakers, subwoofers, and a television or LCD monitor), a PC or Macintosh computer (for Internet radio playback), and an optional DAB module. Signature to the BeoCenter 2 is that it can simultaneously deliver different signals to different parts of a home. This means one person can watch a DVD while somebody else listens to the radio. The unit is all wall-mountable and includes a stand.
