Summer is almost here and grilling season is upon us. Throw some steak, burgers, hot dogs, fish, even vegetables on your outdoor grill and let's eat!
The purpose of this project is to get a good start on the BBQ/grilling world of products. We need to add a good number of the most popular products on the market to the site, and also provide some articles, links, and other resources to help people determine the best choice of barbecue or grill.
Remember, in the US it's called a grill whereas the commonwealth (UK, Canada, Australia, etc.) call it a barbeque. Disambiguate yourself on Wikipedia.
1. Project Discussions
2. Adding BBQs/Grills to ProductWiki
Since ProductWiki is so new, adding products is one of the best ways to contribute.
Product Naming
It's best to name a BBQ prefaced with the manufacturer name and then followed by the model information. ex:
Weber Genesis Silver A (
Weber is the manufacturer,
Genesis Silver is the product line, and
A is the particular model.
Product Image
As usual, find one good image of the product that best demonstrates it's likeness. This most likely can be retrieved from the manufacturer's site directly. (White background, front view is best).
Attributes
The most important aspects of mountain bikes (as usual) are the manufacturer and price. Price information can be difficult to find, but use resources like Froogle and Shopzilla. Also, it would be useful to find some good online BBQ retailers to help with the price info.
Description
Try to keep a short product description 3-10 lines of text. If you want to list them as bullet points, then put the bullets inline like this. point 1 • point 2 • point 3 • point 4.

2.2 BBQ/Grill Attributes
2.2.1 BBQ Grills
Heating Capacity - Measured in BTU/hour (BTU/h) often referred to as (confusingly and incorrectly) BTU. This is a measure of
power and represents the heat energy output capacity of the Grill. 1000 BTU/h = 293 Watts
Fuel Type - What is the energy source of the grill? Propane, Charcoal and electric are the most common.
Cooking Area - The total area in square inches (sq. in.) of available cooking space. Includes both main and warming areas.
2.2.1 Smokers
Any Ideas?
