The Beco Butterfly 2 is a comfortable and stylish multi-stage baby carrier which is a follow up to the 2008 Great Gear of the Year winning Butterfly. This carrier is designed to used as a front or back carrier, with the baby facing towards the parent. The removable infant insert and removable head rest (hood) make this comfortable for newborns and toddlers up to 45 lbs. The fast on / fast off design makes setup easy for parents, and it can be folded small for transportability and easy storage with the stay put strap, which doubles as a waist belt. The security inside panel secures the child allowing the carrier to be transfered between wearers without removing the child. This also helps distribute the weight for a more comfortable experience for child and wearer. The Butterfly 2 is made from 100% machine washable cotton and is available in a wide variety of stylish designs.

A brief history of the Beco Butterfly II, thanks to the Beco historians at myBecoBaby. Beco introduces the Beco Butterfly II. With three major improvements, the Butterfly II becomes an even better carrier. First, the infant insert is now removable and adjustable. This makes it easier to use the Butterfly with newborns, and once your child outgrows this stage the insert is easily removed. The Butterfly II has a few extra inches of padding in the shoulder straps, and the hood now attaches to the carrier with a set of snaps. The hood is also curved and uses elastic to adjust the strap length instead of a threading system like the Original Butterfly. This change was necessary to allow the Beco Butterfly II to conform to European safety standards.
Limited Editions are available through select retailers. They are usually priced a bit higher than the regular Beco Butterfly IIs, starting at $139 to $149. The Exclusive Editions are custom fabrics chosen by the individual store and made in a very small, limited quantity.
