Some owners have complained of knocking their shins on the frame because of it's low unorthodox profile.

For small spaces, the Priscilla day bed fits perfectly and provides a relaxing hideway. Handcrafted and made of hardwood, it comes with high sides with a scalloped corner molding and fluted ball-toped corner posts. The IKEA Tromso Loft Bed is a one-person loft bed designed to clear up approximately 21 square feet of space that can then be used to house a desk, musical equipment, or even a loveseat. It’s essentially a shorter counterpart to the 84-1/4” tall Stora. Instead the Tromso Loft Bed is only 81-1/8” tall. Plus it uses a lighter and less sturdy metallic construction, meaning it’s better used for children and other lightweight occupants. Unfortunately the Tromso doesn’t offer adjustable legs. Like its taller counterpart, however, the Tromso does offer a ladder that can be attached to either side, depending on preference.

Ahh..sorry, I just fell asleep. I don't think it's possible to be an insomniac while sleeping on this bed. It is essentially a bed suspended in midair (well, sort of) that makes it seem like all your troubles will float away as you settle in for a good night's rest. The mattress extends beyond the platform which is hinged to the wall. The central leg offers additional support - you didn't think it was actually floating, did you?
