New pro/con: It vacuums on its own, and, if you don't mind picking up wires and junk first, can navigate most rooms quite successfully
New pro/con: Sometimes gets caught on wires
New pro/con: Doesn't really do so hot on corners or deep into edges
New pro/con: Really does clean large open spaces quite well if used regularly

New pro/con: Some sagging mattresses may be a bad batch - IKEA employee in Twin Cities said that that "sometimes happens - just bring it back"

"If you find the water dripping down the sides of your mouth, as I did, I can recommend the little splashguard thingies (there are several brands) at you can buy at outdoor stores for about $3. They're plastic molded discs (some are rubbery, the rubbery ones tend to keep the taste of what you've been drinking) more

"Ah, yes. You can't beat the ease of use of Solaris. In fact, that's what my grandmother needs for her first computer. A rock solid Solaris box. (But yes, keyboard is down to personal preference, and the idea of tying a long-lived monitor to the rest of the relatively short-lived innards does seem a little wasteful.) more

I'm sure you've heard mac zealots spout many a time - I switched to a mac in 2003, and really love it. Things do, generally, just work. But if you're not grinding your teeth at Windows yet, the initial differences might seem all the more difficult to deal with. That said, any confusion goes away very quickly. I still sometimes wish I could fully maximize a window though.

Thanks! I don't mind the occasional OS war to tell you the truth. I've been entertaining the idea of moving away from Windows, and I'd like to see what people have to say.
