Note: The prices listed here are MSRP, a lot of these components can be purchased at a substantial discount through online retailers. This is the best custom built desktop PC when it comes to price to performance. Every single component is a best-in-class value that gives you great performance without breaking the bank. And when I mean great performance, I don't mean with a qualifier of "for the price" I mean actual honest-to-God great performance that will handle absolutely any task a person can throw at it. For gaming it has a great upgrade path too, as once you're ready to take the plunge just add a solid $100-$200 video card and you'll be able to play all the modern games with max settings easily.
Erik: What's the grand total before tax and shipping? Where are you getting the components from? Mar 21, 11
Omar: Grand total from NCIX is $460.I actually went with the Gigabyte GA-H67MA-D2H instead of the GA-H67MA-UD2H as it's $25 cheaper and you only give up a display port and a couple of USB ports. Also that total does not include an operating system (Windows 7 costs about $130) or the $50 building service which I will be using. Yale: Getting your system built for you for $50 is a great deal... Nice value add from NCIX! I was in at the store in Markham and I have to say this is now my favourite computer store. Great prices, selection and a very efficient pickup system. Never have problems with stock either, with my limited experience anyway.Saves a huge amount of time, cut fingers and the stress of worrying if the thing is even going to boot after the 2 hours of blood, sweat and swearing you just sunk in assembling it... As a custom PC enthusiast it pains me to say, despite enjoying the whole experience if I was building from scratch I'd probably use this option as well. Mar 22, 11
