Pricing
The VPX121X has an MSRP of $180, but is typically sold for around $110. This drill/driver is one of the products in the VPX line that includes both batteries and a charger, so you can buy VPX products that don't include these items, and re-use your VPX batteries and charger. The VPX standard is only used by Black & Decker products, so you can't use VPX batteries and chargers with other tools. If purchased separately the dual-port charger costs about $30, whereas each 7V VPX battery costs about $20. The VPX was first available in stores sometime in late-October, early-November 2007 (confirmation needed).
