Introduced in the middle of September 2008 to be released sometime in the fourth quarter, the HCB-108 is a bluetooth speaker/microphone from Sony, for individuals that want or are legally obligated to use hands-free communication tools in the car. Aimed at becoming the companies cheapest model, the HCB-108 features noise and echo cancellation, and is claimed to last over 25 hours of talking time and up to a month of standby operation. The device, a small black box with grill holes and visor clip - reminiscent of old garage door openers - will be available in black and silver. A price has yet to be announced.

The BlueAnt S4 is a voice-controlled, visor-mounted Bluetooth car speakerphone that allows drivers to make completely hands-free calls while driving. After the activation phrase (“BlueAnt, speak to me.”) has been uttered, users can receive status updates, manage their phone book, check the battery, and make hands-free phone calls by just using their voice. The BlueAnt S4 also supports announcing callers by name, reading out text messages, A2DP audio or GPS directions streaming, and MultiPoint pairing for connecting two devices simultaneously. One problem however is that he S4 lacks its own internal voice dialer, which means it relies on the attached phone’s own internal voice dialing system. The SP200 is the successor to the much higher end Jabra SP700 model. The Jabra SP200 boasts nothing fancy but the common design for complete hands free phone support. It features a very compact design with only three buttons, all of which are situated right above the loudspeaker. The most important button is the Answer/End call key, which is also used for last number redialing, voice dialing, and initiating the pairing process. In fact, the HF-200 can be paired with a total of eight devices, although it can only be connected with one at a time. The HF-200 hosts enough battery charge to handle 15 hours of talk time; plus, the device automatically turns off if not connected with a handset for over 5 minutes.

Additional Information
