The Boss Audio BV7970 is an in-dash AM/FM/DVD/MP3/CD receiver with a 3.6” wide-screen TFT monitor capable of 1152x234 resolution. An upgrade from the BV7950 and BV7960T, the BV7970 offers additional features including a larger monitor (3.6” vs 3.5”), a camera input port, a 3.5 mm jack for A/V input, and an internal amplifier with an on/off control switch. It must be noted that the Audio BV7970, however, does not possess the AUX and USB input ports that come with its predecessors, nor the TV tuner inherent to the BV7960T. Priced approximately $20 to $30 over the 7970 and 7960T, the Boss Audio BV7970 also features full iPod control through the use of an IPC60 integration cable, preset EQ response curves, and a rear speaker on/off control.
