Boston Acoustics VS 325c

The Boston Acoustics VS 325c is a 2-way bookshelf center speaker that sports dual 5-1/4” OCCM subwoofers, one 3” OCCM midrange, and a 1” super wide bandwidth tweeter. The third speaker in the Boston Acoustics VS series, the VS 325c is designed to compliment two VS 240/260 bookshelf speakers and two VS 336 floor-standing speakers in a 5.1 channel high definition theater system. Much like its peers, the VS 325c also competes with the Boston Acoustics HS models, especially the HS 225 center speaker. Unlike the HS 225, the VS 325c features a midrange speaker as well as dual subwoofers and a tweeter. In addition, the VS 325c supports a superior frequency (65Hz-30kHz versus 80Hz-25kHz) and an improved sensitivity (90dB versus 89dB). Although the VS 325c lacks some of the HS 225’s functionality (e.g. Deep Channel Design, Reduced Baffle Diffraction Design), the VS 325c features a lavishly-designed and super-elegant black lacquer piano finish cabinet and high-gloss furniture-grade end panels in either black or cherry. The VS 325c also comes equipped with MagnaGuard video shielding and gold-plated 5-way binding posts. The Boston Acoustics VS 325c is priced at $899.99, a $650 increase from the inferior HS 225.
