Boxee Box Live TV
$50.00
Released January, 2012
The Pros:Perfect for the "cord-cutting" people.
The Cons:Really only works if you live in the right area. To fully use this device you may have to bolster your connection speed. Not that many people watch "OTA" cable.
The Box Live TV is a dongle-style TV tuner from the Boxee company. Intended to provide a simple, more-affordable alternative to standard cable TV boxes, this model features a USB 2.0 interface and connects exclusively to Boxee Box devices.

Providing access to many full 1080p HD channels including CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox, the unit can also be synced with a user's home internet network in order to stream content through programs like Netflix, Hulu and Vudu. Using ATSC tuning technology for HDTV channels and QAM technology for an unencrypted cable connection, the Box Live TV claims to include "89 of the top 100 shows available on broadcast TV". Allowing users to watch a new episode of their favourite show before watching previous episodes over the internet, the unit does not require a monthly payment and is very likely to save regular TV viewers a considerable amount of money.
