"Found the heat issue. I purchased my Centro 4800 NG about a year ago. I've had heat issues since day one and have gone online to read reviews to see if I can solve this problem. This heat issue seems to be the most common issue. I got no help from Centro and once they told me to replace the thermostat which was incorrect and a way to brush me off. Well the other day I looked over my BBQ and practically ripped it apart to see if I did something wrong and guess what....I didn't do anything wrong but found out that the problem is. Something that no one has been able to figure out including Centro. Here's the issue. Loss of heat from the back of the BBQ!! What do I mean? Turn your BBQ around and look at the gap between the lid and the back plate. There is a good 5-6 inch gap which causes great heat loss. Not only that but the back of the base has no cover and wind blows from underneath. So what did I do to test this out? I took a long piece of aluminum foil and made a make-shift back plate....enough to cover the gap and guess what? My BBQ went from a top end of 350 degrees to an outstanding 475 degrees! And that's only with the aluminum foil. Well I be heading to the hardware store tomorrow to buy some aluminum. I'll use one piece to cover the gap in the lid and one for the back of the base. Bottom-line....the less air gets in the more heat you'll have. " more
