when are we going to see this thing

So does this thing record television?  Or does it simply act as a media streamer with media you have to manually load on it?

If it's the latter then that's not that useful since you must have some kind of network setup to get the media onto the darn thing.  At that point you might as well just get a cheap used Xbox and set it up with XBMC.  Man that thing is sweet.

The content is not on the device, the device streams content off whatever is serving it.  The product ships with a media server (CD), vista will also contain a server .

Servers can also be embedded (one is included in many Buffalos NAS)
