The Buffalo Technology DriveStation 2Share is an external HDD/NAS that connects to PCs by USB 2.0 and 10/100 Ethernet. It can either function as a directly-hooked external hard-drive, or instead be wedged into a network as a readily available Network-Attached Storage device. Keep in mind though that the FlexNet—when connected via USB—only works with Microsoft PCs. Included with the unit is SecureLockWare, a 100% free security software that allows a user to encrypt either all or just a part-of the data on their HDD device; and also Memeo AutoBackup & Memo AutoSync, built for securely storing and tracking essential computer files. Note that the DriveStation Flex retails in five forms, from 500GB to 2TB.
