Cambridge Audio Azur 650R

$1,799.00 Released January, 2011

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Direct mode for audio (which bypasses any processing) is very well done as compared to most other receivers. Adjustable Lip Sync works very well and is a feature not seen often enough in receivers. Very easy setup--the included microphone adjusts settings pretty much automatically.

The Cons:Slightly dated compared to today's high-end offerings (HDMI 1.3c rather than 1.4a, more legacy connections than HDMI).

The Cambridge Audio Azur 650R is a premium 7.1-channel A/V receiver unveiled at the CEDIA Expo 2009. Featured are three fully assignable HDMI v1.3c inputs for HD devices (Blu-ray players, DVD players, gaming consoles), 32-bit DSP cores for 100% compatibility with all the highest-rated codecs (Dolby Digital, DTS-HD, LPCM), and a true power output up to 100w per channel.

Product Shot 2 Where this receiver differs from many of its competitors is that all seven 100E, audiophile-grade fully discrete amplifiers were purposefully positioned as far away from the processing & input stages, which in turn greatly aids the unit’s ability to produce extremely high quality audio. Also included is an Auto Set-Up for an intuitive and convenient installation.
