The Cannondale Synapse 5 is a just over a thousand dollar bike that is designed to be comfortable to ride around town or even to the next county. It makes full use of the Synapse Active Vibration Elimination by using shaped chain stays and a slight bend in the seat stays to reduce the amount of road buzz the consumer has to experience. Once nice feature of the Cannondale Synapse 5 is that the consumer has a choice of frame materials: HI-MODulus, ultra carbon, or 6061-T6 aluminum as well as a choice of colors: Jet Black gloss or Lightning White gloss. The bike itself is made with shaped tubing that is manufactured and designed in Bedford, a site that has been in place for over twenty five years of producing the high-performance alloy CAAD9.
