The Canon D10 is a durable digital camera designed for an adventurous and active lifestyle. The camera is shock resistant, waterproof up to 33 feet and freeze proof up to 14 degrees F allowing it to capture video and still images underwater and in extreme temperatures. It features a 12.1 megapixel sensor and records VGA video in 640 x 480 resolution. The D10 is designed with a 2.5" color LCD display with interchangeable faceplates allowing the user to customize it's look. It offers 3x optical and 4x digital zoom with optical image stabilization for clear shots. It also includes face detection technology with a face detection self timer and an intelligent AUTO feature which analyzes the shooting conditions and selects the appropriate setting. The D10 is expected to be released in May 2009.
