- affordable price - similar cameras would have been over $1000 only 2-3 years ago
- RAW format support
- comparable image to the more advanced XSi - indistinguishable
- allows users much more control than other cameras in this price range
- SD card compatible
Cons
- smaller screen, sensor and fewer AF points than the XSi
- fully featured DSLR will not be as simple as other cameras in the price range
- no CF card support
