The FS100 model from Canon is a camcorder which features a 1/6" CCD, resolving approximately one million pixels. The camera records onto Flash memory via SDHC cards, and also features a USB 2.0 output for file transfering. The zoom lens is capable of 37x enlargement in optical mode, and 200x in digital mode, with additional image stabilization. White balance is automatic, but can also be pre-set to tungsten or daylight. There are three recording modes for varying degrees of image quality and corresponding files sizes (3mbps, 6mbps and 9mbps).
