The Canon FS200 is a standard definition flash memory camcorder from Canon's 2009 lineup. The camcorder is a slight upgrade to Canon's FS100 from 2008 and like the FS100 it features Canon's DIGIC DV II image processor for reduced pixel noise and improved image quality, but only has a 680,000 pixel CMOS sensor compared to the 1.07 megapixels of the FS100. The FS200 has an SDHC expansion slot for storing video and still images as well as a USB output for uploading to PC. It is designed similar to the FS100 with a 2.7" LCD display but is lighter and more compact than the 2008 model, at only 7.9 ounces. The camcorder includes Canon's 41x advanced zoom technology as well as image stabilization and a quick charge feature. It is available in a misty silver, sunrise red, or evening blue finish and is expected to be released in Spring 2009.
