The Canon FS21 is a standard definition flash memory camcorder from Canon's 2009 lineup. The camcorder is a slight upgrade to Canon's FS11 from 2008 and like the FS11 it features a 1.07 megapixel CMOS sensor and Canon's DIGIC DV II image processor for reduced pixel noise and improved image quality. The FS21 includes 16GB of built-in memory for storing video and still images, an SDHC expansion slot, and a USB output for uploading to PC. It is designed almost identical to the FS11 with a 2.7" LCD display but is lighter and more compact than the 2008 model, at only 7.9 ounces. The camcorder includes Canon's 48x advanced zoom technology as well as image stabilization and a quick charge feature. It is available in a silver finish and is expected to be released in Spring 2009.
