The iVIS HF21 model from Canon is a full-1080 HD camcorder that records in the AVCHD standard. The camera features a 3.31 megapixel CMOS sensor which records in 1920x1080 resolution. Its internal hard drive is noteably larger than its predecessor the HF11, at 120GB. The camera can also record to SD and SDHC memory cards. Files are encoded in the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 High Profile format. Five different quality modes are available: 24Mbps MXP (3 hours) to 5Mbps LP (12 hours). The camera is powered by Canon's DIGIC DV II engine, has a 12x optical zoom and a 40x digital zoom, and a 2.7" LCD screen.
