Canon PIXMA MG5220
$150.00
Released August, 2010
The Pros:Prints photographs that are presentable as proofs to clients. Compact footprint doesn't take up much room on the desk. Prints come out relatively quickly, not much waiting even on best quality.
The Cons:Need to ensure that you download drivers from the website on a Mac, rather than using the included CD, in order to avoid errors. Included drivers on the CD are out of date and don't include all of the functions the printer is capable of. Replacement ink cartridges are fairly small and cost a lot.
The PIXMA MG5220 is a higher-end, wireless photo all-in-one inkjet printer from Canon. It can print a 4x6 color photo in 20 seconds at up to 9600x2400dpi and scan documents at 2400x4800dpi. With 802.11n wireless technology, it is a good option for users of Wi-Fi-enabled iPhones and digital cameras.

Featuring faster print speeds and twice the scan resolution, the MG5220 is a step up in several ways from the wired MG5120, also released in late summer 2010. Both models are equipped with a 2.4" LCD display for previewing photos, and Pictbridge technology for printing directly from a camera or phone connected via cable or optional Bluetooth. They support auto duplexing, enabling double-sided printing without the need to manually flip the page. Other features include the ability to print a full-HD movie frame through included software. Like other Canon models, the printer uses five individual ink tanks to reduce waste.

#canon_pixma_mg5220 I got this printer brand new on clearance at Best Buy for $30! It comes with all the required ink, so it was cheaper to buy the printer with ink than buying the ink alone ($75 for the colour cartridges and $40 for the black).
