The PIXMA MX850 is a general purpose all-in-one printer, scanner, coppier and fax machine from Canon. Primarily designed for medium amounts of home/home office use due to its small ink cartridges, the MX850 also includes photo functionality not found in similar competitors offerings. Allowing for PC free photograph printing with its 2.5" LCD screen, the MX850 also includes an Ethernet port for operation on a LAN without the need for a host PC. Surprisingly faster than the more expensive Canon offering (the MX7600), the MX850 also features a larger LCD screen and the same upgraded scanner. The main difference between the two is the MX850's 5 cartridge design, compared to the more advanced 6 cartridge design found in the MX7600.
