I previously had a Canon SD300, so this was a big upgrade. Nice big screen on the back for viewing and turns on fast for quick shots. iPod-like scrolling on the directional pad lets you browse through pictures and shooting modes faster. Battery life is great, I didn't have to recharge the battery for 3 weeks after I got it. There are some built-in photo editing features, such as red eye removal which works very well. The built-in face detection is great at finding faces to make sure everyone is in focus without the hassle of previous camera generations. I chose this model mainly for the image stabilization, which is no substitute for a tripod apparently.
