The Canon PowerShot SX110 IS is the successor to the SX100, a popular ultrazoom consumer digital camera. The SX110 IS offers a range of user control, from the fully automatic "Easy Mode" that will make novices comfortable with it, to shutter-priority, aperture priority and full manual to catch the interest of more advanced photographers. With the lower price tag than many bridge cameras (advancedultrazooms), the SX 110 IS seems aimed at those looking for a camera to learn on, allowing them more control as they desire it. Reviewers describe it as performing well, if not wonderfully, but mention that overall it is not a noticeable upgrade from the previous model SX100.
