Canon's PowerShot SX20 is a higher-end point-and-shoot camera (non-DSLR) that offers a range of features, and is targeted at experienced amateur photographers. It has a 20x optical zoom capability with optical image stabilization, and an AUTO mode that can select from 22 different preset shooting modes (or these can be user-selected). The overall photo resolution is 12.1 megapixels and the SX20 uses Canon's DIGIC 4 image processor, which enhances image clarity and fine-detail structure. It has a 2.5-inch diagonal LCD screen to view or take pictures, and runs on AA batteries. One of this camera's other main features is its 720p high-definition video capture mode, as well as an HDMI output connection for playback on a compatible HDTV.
