A direct competitor to the Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD2, the Canon PowerShot TX1 is a compact camcorder that records 720p HD content at 30fps and can take still photos at 7.1 megapixels. It does all this, while being maintaining a very compact size at 3.5 x 2.4 x 1.1 in, weighing 0.58 lbs (262 g), and only costing $500. Early reviews of the TX1 have raised questions concerning the awkwardness of the ergonomics, and mediocrity of the image quality.
