Canon Vixia HF10

The Vixia HF10 is Canon's first flash-based camcorder. It can record in full high-definition 1080p and follows Panasonic's and Sony's AVCHD format which uses an MPEG-4 AVC video codec. The HF10 comes in a compact body weighing in at 15.1 ounces and fits snugly in the palm of your hand. The HF10 has a new Canon lens with 12x optical zoom, slightly higher than the other cameras in this class which typically have 10x zoom.

Video on internal memory is a pain to download, must be connected to AC or it does not let you download video over the USB??? SDHC cards are easier to deal with, and cost very little. The HF100 is the identical camera less the internal memory, save your money and the headaches, get the HF100 and a couple SDHC cards and good SDHC card reader for a few hundred dollars less.
