The Casio G'zOne Brigade is a rugged flip/clamshell smartphone featuring a MIL-STD-810F rating, which means that it is resistant to water, humidity, salt, dust, extreme temperatures, solar radiation, fog, and altitude.

It was released through Verizon Wireless and is the first ultra-rugged G’zOne phone to sport a full QWERTY keyboard. Included with the Brigade is a slew of office products like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and even support for PDF files. The Brigade also handles both music (V CAST Music) and movies (V CAST Video), as well as GPS (VZ Navigator). Additional features include a 3.2MP autofocus camera with an LED flash, and a microSD memory card slot for extra storage space.

#casio_g_zone_brigade It is not a SmartPhone, but it is a good durable phone suited for harsh conditions. It could use a more intuitive menu and interface layout. Dual/multi-function buttons are confusing. I don't like that all custom media like ringtones, backgrounds, games, etc., are only available through one of Verizon's subscription plans. There does not seem to be any ability to manage internal files on the phone in any useful way. I just got the USB data-connect cable ($30!), and will see if there is any way to manage things via that cable from a PC. Jury is still out.
