Originally developed by Milton Hershey in the year 1900, Hershey's milk chocolate features a special blend of a variety of international cocoa beans delivering a unique complexity. From this cocoa blend, the beans are roasted and shelled, and milled to produce a chocolate liquor, which when combined with sugar, milk, and the separated cocoa butter, becomes milk chocolate. Using whole milk (pasteurized on site) for a creamier texture, the mix is subjected to between 24 and 72 hours of smoothing via granite rollers. Once moulded, chocolate is then agitated to ensure that the finished product has no bubbles, and is then cooled gently to not affect the previous tempering.

The Nestlé Aero chocolate bar was processed and manufactured first in 1935 by Rowntree's of York, England. The candy bar is milk chocolate and separated into evenly sized sections. These sections each contain solidified, bubbly chocolate that 'melts in your mouth'. A unique characteristic of this chocolate bar is that if it is held in the mouth, the 'bubbles' melt, creating an interesting experience for the consumer. Aero bars are manufactured in nut-free facilities, and as well as the United Kingdom, the bar is sold in countries such as Canada, Germany, Portugal and Poland. Other versions of the Aero bar are also available, such as Mint Aero, which has a bubbly mint-flavoured centre covered in milk chocolate, and Caramel Aero, having a caramel layer on top of the chocolate layer. The 3 Musketeers bar was the third brand to be produced and manufactured by M&M/MARS in 1932. Originally, this bar came with 3 pieces in one package, and were flavoured chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. Wartime restrictions and rising costs on sugar eventually caused the strawberry and vanilla pieces to be chocolate also. At that time, sold at 5 cents, this chocolate bar was marketed as the biggest one available. In 2007, the 3 Musketeers Mint was introduced for their 75th Anniversary. Kit Kat Chunky is the relatively new variation of the classic Kit Kat chocolate bar. Instead of 4 smaller chocolate covered wafers, the Chunky version features a single wafer bar that is much larger and denser. Kit Kat Chunky is known as the Big Kat in the United States. The 'Oh Henry!' chocolate bar, consisting of peanuts, caramel, and fudge, coated in chocolate, was first introduced by the Williamson Candy Company of Chicago, Illinois. In 1984, Nestlé acquired the US rights to the brand, and in Canada the Hershey Company acquired rights from Nabisco. Hershey Canada manufactures the bars at their Smith's Falls location in Ontario. The chocolate bar comes in variations such as Peanut Butter and Oh Henry! Pro. The US wrapper is slightly different when compared to Hershey Canada's Oh Henry! wrapper. The Oh Henry! consistently ranks as one of the top five candy bars across Canada.

PayDay is a candy bar consisting of salted peanuts around a center of caramel, currently produced by The Hershey Company. PayDay's truly a unique combination of ingredients that's not similar to any other "candy bar" on the market. It is pretty chewy on the inside once you get past the hard peanut exterior. There have been several variations on the PayDay bar such as chocolate covered and honey roasted.
