The Coby DVD958 is a 5.1 channel DVD home theater system offered by Coby Electronics. This is a simple, compact, affordable and easy set-up system that consists of a DVD player, five full-range satellite speakers and a subwoofer with an overall output power of 210 watts. The progressive scan DVD player is capable of playing DVD, DVD+/-R/RW, CD and CD-R/RW discs and has a built in FM tuner with 60-station preset and RDS support. It supports MPEG-1, MPEG-4 (DivX/XviD [optional]), MP3, and JPEG digital media files and has Dolby Pro Logic II and Dolby Digital surround sound technology. There are composite, component and s-video outputs, as well as RCA stereo and coaxial digital audio outputs and RCA stereo inputs. Unlike lower models, the DVD958 also has an HDMI output with optional upconversion. Also included is a full function remote control.
