Compaq Presario C500T

The Compaq Presario C500T is one of most inexpensive laptops on the market coming in at around $450. The base model of the C500T features an Intel Celeron M processor, a 15.4" screen, and includes Windows Vista Basic. While these emphasize the laptop's strong points, to get the price down the C500T cuts corners with a small 80 GB hard drive and includes only 512 MB of RAM. There are upgrades available however from the HP store.

I have a Presario 1700T from 2001. It has 512 megahertz processor and 128mb RAM, and a 20 GB hard drive, with a 14 inch 4:3 screen. Makes this one seem like God.

I have this notebook and I took it up to 2 gigs of memory and a 160 GB hard drive and despite not having a true 3D graphics card, it plays most of today's games with no problem! Love this machine...wish I had two!
