Compaq Presario CQ61-420us
$520.00
Released January, 2010
The Pros:Sound output is above average, can get pretty loud and has good clarity. Keyboard is well laid out, keypad is easy to use and makes working with spreadsheets much easier. Very fast response during regular operation, everything launches and reacts to your commands right away.
The Cons:Missing an HDMI output, can't output directly to an HDTV. No webcam built in at all, would need to buy one separately.
The Compaq Presario CQ61-420us is a 15.6” Windows 7 laptop released in early 2010 by Compaq Presario as an inexpensive, but fast performing solution for casual and business users alike. It features an AMD Athlon Dual-Core processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 250GB SATA hard-disc drive.

Included also is an ATI graphics card & Altec Lansing speakers for playing video games, both wired and wireless Internet, and a DVD SuperMulti drive. The area in which the CQ61-420us most lacks is connectivity, as it includes only the basic ports: USB, a mic, a headphone, and VGA. This has left critics confused as to why no HDMI or DVI is supported, especially since the unit was apparently built for multimedia use.
