Archos' 35 Smart Home Phone is essentially exactly what it sounds like, a home phone intended for use as a landline that also imports numerous features from Android-based smartphones. These include Wi-Fi connectivity, any Android apps compatible with smartphones, traffic updates, and (720p HD) video calling that works with PCs or smartphones on the other end. It has email and broswing capabilities as well as mp3 ringtones. The phone's design resembles an iPhone, with a 3.5" touchscreen that uses a virtual keyboard and keypad for input. The phone transmits wirelessly to its base using DECT technology, so it is compatible with any standard telephone line or ADSL phone connection. If desired, the phone's camera can be used remotely as a baby monitor or a surveillance camera. This phone has a high price point, but is of course substantially different from a typical wireless home phone.

The KX-TGA931T is a mid-range cordless handset expansion for use with an existing phone base, and it is only compatible with Panasonic's KX-TG6300 and KX-TG9300 Series of base units. It uses DECT 6.0 wireless transmission, at a frequency of 1.9 GHz, to avoid interference with other wireless devices. It has a 1.4" LCD display with white backlighting, and backlit keys and a ringer LED. Depending on the base system, this handset is compatible with answering services, handset-to-handset intercom, and message waiting indicators. The Panasonic KX-TG6641 is a cordless phone with base. While the phone only comes with one handset and base, additional handsets can be purchased separately and paired, although only one handset can be charged at a time. The KX-TG6641 is in the 2011 line-up of cordless phones, so it features a range boost that increases transmission range by 20% compared to previous generation Panasonic cordless phones. The Panasonic KX-TG6641 operates on the 1.9GHz frequency, which means it will not interfere with common 2.4GHz wireless devices such as routers, keyboards, mice, and game controllers. Additionally, the amount of power used to pick up the signal from the base is decreased the closer the handset is to the base, in order to increase battery life without decreasing call quality. The KX-TGA651B is an additional handset for the KX-TG6500 series of cordless phones manufactured by Panasonic. It is designed to add an additional phone to a set of cordless phones. It features DECT 6.0 technology, a silent mode, and talking caller ID. When compared to another handset from Panasonic, the KX-TGA939T, the KX-TGA651B has some disadvantages, such as a lower phonebook memory. It is however, in some aspects it is superior, such as having a longer battery life.

The DECT 6.0 technology of the KX-TGA651B enables the phone to have a longer range, as well as enhancing sound quality. It ensures the phone will not interfere with other wireless devices (routers, keyboards, etc) and protects against eavesdropping as well. The Silent Mode of the phone allows a user to set a phone so it doesn't ring. This way, it won't disturb a user if they're sleeping. The Motorola L401 is a DECT 6.0 cordless phone that also comes with an answering machine. The machine comes with 15 minutes of recording time and can be accessed from the base of the phone or from the handset. The Motorola L301 is a DECT 6.0 cordless phone. Not only is it cordless but it also comes with a hands-free speakerphone on the handset so the speakerphone capability is not tied down to the base of the phone. It is an Energy Star compliant device and has an eco mode to make it even more efficient with its energy usage. It has a 9 speed dial memory and can store up to 30 names and numbers in its on board phonebook. The Motorola L301 has selectable ring tones and the ringer and earpiece have adjustable volumes. It comes with Caller ID so that incoming calls are identified based on the information already in the phonebook. The Uniden TRU9485 is a cordless phone that runs on a 5.8GHz frequency. This frequency range allows for longer signal distances while minimizing interference with other wireless devices such as cell phones and wireless routers. The TRU9480 is also an expandable phone system, meaning that only one base station is required to handle up to 10 independent handsets. Each handset can be individually named, have its own phonebook and caller ID. The handsets can also work as a two-way radio between themselves to act as an ad-hoc intercom system.

The VTech IS6110 is a high-tech, instant-messaging-enabled cordless phone featuring a QWERTY keyboard. It was released in 2008 and is VTech’s first Internet-enabled cordless phone. It connects to a PC via USB, and then taps into the user’s DSL/Cable connection. This allows users to employ the phone as a conventional phone, an instant-messenger, and a VOIP (voice over Internet Protocol) device. In fact, a user need not even pay for phone service—he or she can make calls for free (assuming an Internet subscription). Additional features of the VTech IS6110 include Caller ID, a high-resolution display, and a speakerphone.

The Panasonic KX-TG1033S is an expandable digital cordless phone system that operates under the DECT 6.0 standard. Other cordless phones operate at the 5.8 GHz or 2.4 GHz frequency range that is shared by other wireless devices, whereas DECT 6.0 runs at a 1.9 GHz range dedicated to cordless phones. The "6.0" moniker may be misleading because it suggests that it operates at 6.0 GHz as an improvement over the previous 5.8 GHz standard.

The KX-TG1033S features 3 handsets and can be expanded with additional handsets bringing the total up to 6. The base unit features a digital answering machine that can be accessed from any of the registered handsets. There is an intercom feature allowing you to communicate or transfer calls between the handsets that can even be used while one of the handsets is in use.

Both the handsets and base have built-in speakerphones, and the base has its own dialing pad, making it possible to call from the base even if the main handset is away from it. The XAct XG2500 cordless phone is styled after the popular bluetooth headsets more commonly associated with cell phones. Headsets are currently available for cordless phones but they require you to plug the headset into the phone itself and if you're walking around you also have to carry the cordless phone. XAct Communications took this concept and made the headset and the cordless phone one and the same so that the wearer is completely unencumbered with the XG2500 weighing in at a measly 1 ounce. It is important to note that people who are not used to wearing headsets may get friction between the phone and their face, thus producing and transmitting noise to the person on the other end.

The Panasonic KX-TGA106 is a basic digital cordless handset that complements an existing digital cordless phone system by expanding into any room in the house. DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology allows the user to move around the home freely with long range and clear sound with less interference. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, this phone will not conflict with other wireless devices in the home such as wireless computer routers, keyboards and mice, microwave ovens, etc. This phone features up to 12 hours of talk time between charges, large buttons for comfort and convenience, and a headset jack (headset optional) for hands-free use. Even with the ringer off, missed calls can be avoided with the Light Up Indicator with Ring Alert, which flashes at the base of the antenna to show there is an incoming call, and will also flash slowly to indicate a new message. Additional features include digital speaker phone, built-in clock with alarm, call waiting, Caller ID, conference capability, and 1.8" backlit LCD display. The KX-TG9333T is a cordless phone manufactured by Panasonic. It is designed to allow the user to have a long range, to move around freely while talking on a phone. It features DECT 6.0 technology, a night mode, and text-to-speech technology. When compared to another cordless phone by Panasonic, the KX-TG9344T, the KX-TG9333T appears lacking in certain areas, such as having a lower multi-handset capability. However, it makes up for this by using less batteries and having a lower price.

The DECT 6.0 technology enables the KXTG9333T to have a long range, as well as enhancing the quality of the sound. It also protects against eavesdropping, and will not interfere with other devices such as wireless routers, wireless keyboards, and microwaves. The night mode option allows a user to set a phone so it doesn't ring, allowing them to sleep. The other phones will continue to ring for any non-sleeping persons, unless they too are set to night mode. The text-to-speech technology will speak out the caller ID of the caller in between rings.

The KX-TG9344T is a cordless phone manufactured by Panasonic. It is designed to allow the user to have a long range, to move around freely while talking on a phone. It features text-to-speech technology, a Light-Up Indicator, and the ability to block unwanted calls. When compared to another cordless phone by Panasonic, the KX-TG9333T, the KX-TG-9344T shows several advantages, including a higher multi-handset capability. The two phones do however share certain features, such as speech-to-text technology, and DECT 6.0 technology.

The text-to-speech technology of the KX-TG9344T will speak out the caller ID of the caller in between rings. The Light-Up Indicator of the phone causes the base of the antenna to flash when the ringer is turned off, allowing a user to know when someone is calling even when the ringer is turned off. A user may also take the caller ID info of unwanted callers, and place them in the Call Block list, to prevent them from contact.
