The KX-TG6442 is a mid-range cordless telephone package that includes the KX-TG6441 telephone base and handset as well as one additional handset. It uses DECT 6.0 to minimize interference with other wireless devices. Both the handset and base have built-in speakerphones, and the base has its own dialing pad, making it possible to call from the base even if the handset is away from it. The phone also has features like talking caller ID, talking alarm clock and battery indicator, as well as silent mode and a caller blocking list that can automatically give a busy signal to unwanted callers. There is also a built-in digital answering machine. The handsets and base can all be used as intercoms. The KX-TG6442 can also expand to include up to 6 total handsets. Panasonic's KX-TG7433 is a mid-range cordless phone package that is effectively the KX-TG7431 with two additional handsets. Each handset uses DECT 6.0 to minimize interference with other wireless devices. It has a single main base, and two additional battery charging stations for the other two handsets. The handsets have large LCD backlit displays, and the system comes with a built-in digital answering system with individually selectable and listed voice mails. The phone also features a block list that can ignore programmed numbers and give them a busy signal if they call again. The GE 28821FE1 is an expandable, single-handset cordless phone system built as a step-up from the 28811FE2. It adds along a Digital Answering Machine, while still maintaining its predecessor’s Caller ID, Call-Waiting, and GOOG-911. This included free service allows customers to dial Google’s 411 service for free to retrieve business information by either name, address, or category. It does come with only one handset, however, but is expandable—accessory handsets must be purchased separately. Note also that the handset base is mountable, making it simple to post it up on a kitchen or living-room wall.

The Plantronics S12 is a wired telephone system from Plantronics which includes a headset and a cradle that holds the headset when it's not being used. The purpose of the device is to be able to talk on a landline hands-free. The cradle connects to ones existing desktop telephone and has mute and volume controls. The headset connects via a cable to the cradle and can be used in "ear piece" or "over-the-head" configurations. As the S12 does not have a key pad, it can not be used to replace a conventional telephone. It is simply intended to be an "add-on" for the purpose of talk without holding the receiver with ones hand.
