The Corsair Flash Survivor GT is a military-grade USB flash drive released in 2009 as an upgrade from the original Flash Survivor. Not only can it withstand vibrations, shocks, and 200m of water, but the GT is also military certified to handle the most extreme situations, including being baked, boiled, or frozen. Like its predecessor, the GT relies on a CNC-milled, anodized aircraft-grade aluminum case with an EPDM waterproof seal and a molded shock-dampening collar. Additional features include a USB extension cable, included dog tags, a 10-year warranty, and plug-n-play compatibility with any USB-equipped computer. It retails in 32GB and 64GB sizes.

Pros
- fast read/write speeds
- limited 10-year warranty
- highly ruggedized aluminum enclosure which is water resistant to 200m
- much higher capacities than the previous generation (64 & 32GB vs 8 & 4GB)
Cons
- technically slower than the previous generation (8GB) Survivor
- MLC based rather than SLC based (the previous generation was SLC based)
- if the controller goes your data is essentially gone - not as easy as a disk drive to have professionals recover your data
