Creative Xmod X-Fi

The Xmod from Creative is designed to enhance the quality of your digital mp3 collection. A fully functioning audio interface that plugs into your PC or Mac via an available USB port, the Xmod X-Fi claims to deliver an enhanced audio experience to your speakers or headphones.

There are two technologies at work: 1) the X-Fi Crystalizer attempts to recover some of the audio richness lost in the mp3 compression, and 2) CMSS-3D creates a virtual surround experience. Packaged in a sleek "iPod-esque" design and features a large control wheel to manage the settings. No drivers required; simply plug the Xmod into your computer and you are ready to go.
