Creative ZEN Style 300
$49.99
Released April, 2010
The Pros:Simple, intuitive button layout lends itself to no-look usage. Onboard speaker provides surprising volume/quality for its size. Above-average battery life (32 hours for continuous audio).
The Cons:Requires a very long button press to turn on. Complicated and unintuitive method of activating the lock function. Doesn't pick up where it left off when left paused in the middle of a track long enough to go into sleep mode.
The Creative ZEN Style 300 is one of three ZEN Style series portable media players (X-Fi Style, Style 100, Style 300) released in April 2010. It builds from the barebones Style 100 by incorporating an FM radio with 32 presets.

It is otherwise a near duplicate of its predecessor, as it hosts a small and compact design, as well as an ultra-long battery. It too lacks the X-Fi’s advanced functionality (TV output, speaker, etc.), but it does host calendar and contacts functions for using the device as a personal organizer. Plus the Style 300 includes support for various audio/video formats, a simple drag and drop user interface, and a custom equalizer.
