As you might expect at this price, these are phenomenal speakers. They are big and heavy, but the "boat back" design makes them seem svelte. I got them in the espresso finish which somewhat mutes the zebra wood veneer. I much prefer them with the grills removed, but marital equilibrium requires otherwise. I will let the pros delve into the technical aspects of the P-39F, but my admittedly biased opinion is that these are the best sounding speakers I have ever heard. Only complaint: the binding post are on the bottom of the speaker. One must lay the speaker on its side to hook up the wires, and because of limited clearance to the floor, banana plugs won't work.
