"hi there... For more vesatile riding (mountain, park, etc) the length of your board should be between your chin and nose when you stand it up. Used boards are usually ok...but best to look at them before buying so you can assess the condition (make sure no giant scratches on the base, or a ripped out edge or any obvious damage). For a new board, there are TONS of options...for what you want to do, look for an all-mountain board or even a freestyle board with a twin-tip or twin-directional shape....best versatility out of these. You can find an awesome brand new board for around $400. Option is a good company...not sure of those models though...the $300 option would depend on what kind of bindings they are including (cheap ones or decent ones). You might want to stop into your local shop and ask some questions there too....just don't get sucked into a $600 board! Good luck."

"Just got this unit as a bday gift, but have used similar one before. I agree that the american voices are totally annoying: "RECALCULATING....RECALCULATING--IF PAH-SAW-BAL MAKE A U-TURN." It is somewhat amusing at first to hear a robo-voice with a Chicago accent...but turns into an annoyance after a hour or two. Overall this is a sweet GPS unit to have on the road though."
