Pros
- Raid 1 and 0 support
- no software needs to be installed - it is simply run off the USB key
- simple to use for non-techies to access their home data from anywhere
- NAS unit offers an energy efficient method of storing files on a network (without the need for an online PC host)
- useful for tech-enthusiasts who would use a power wasting 'server' online to access their files remotely from the NAS
- NAS unit includes USB ports for external storage expansion
- comes with 2 USB keys - in case you lose one, or have multiple users
- compatible with all operating systems
- allows you to create additional USB keys by plugging them into the NAS
- lost USB keys are not a security risk - requires users to enter a password once plugged in
Cons
- no eSATA port
- no good if you lose your USB keys easily
