Dead to Rights: Retribution
$60.00
Released April, 2010
The Pros:The main character's dialog is amusing and well done. Provides exactly what was advertised, plenty of fast paced action and violence. Improves upon previous iterations.
The Cons:Doesn't offer anything existing 3rd person shooters. Repetitive storyline and game play locations. Graphical glitches (cut scenes and shadows).
Dead to Rights: Retribution is the most recent installment of the third-person action series that first hit store shelves in 2002. Retribution once again features police officer Jack Slate and his canine companion as the heroes fighting the corruption of their hometown, Grant City.

There are some new features compared to previous Dead to Rights games, but overall the third-person shoot-'em-up gameplay is very similar to former releases.
The location and scenario of this game are very similar to previous games. Once again the setting is Grant City, and the protagonists are Jack Slate and his dog, Shadow. They go around town less as police officers and more as violent vigilantes that kill 99% of the criminals they run into, usually in a violent and merciless manner. In the game, there is now a kill meter that builds up to allow you to slow down time to take out an entire room of bad guys. The camera system can be frustrating, due to blind spots behind you and the difficulty in turning around quickly. One of the better, new additions is the ability to control Shadow in a "stealth mode".
