Dell 1133
$149.00
Released October, 2010
The Pros:Very low cost for a laser printer and scanner combination. Prints come out quickly, not much waiting. Text on the prints is sharp and clear, looks professional.
The Cons:No ADF for multiple-page copies. Not capable of networking, needs to be plugged into a computer directly. Larger and bulkier than most all-in-ones designed for home use.
The Dell 1133 is a low cost printer that can also copy and scan. In promotion, Dell emphasizes the low cost of this multifunction printer. The two inch LCD display and ten button keypad of the 1133 allow you to navigate through the various functions and menus.
For printing, the 1133 is capable of putting out twenty-three 8.5" x 11" sheets per minute (in black and white only). The resolution of printed pages is 1200 dpi. For scanning (which can be done in color as well as black and white), the resolution is 4800 dpi. This model costs less than the 1135n model because it lacks an Ethernet port for networking, is not capable of faxing, and has half the RAM (64MB as opposed to the 1135n's 128MB).
