The Dell G2410 is an EPEAT GOLD & ENERGY STAR compliant wide-screen LCD display monitor cited as distinguishing itself from competitors by utilizing a design that combines energy efficiency with recycled materials and other environmentally preferable components. The second of two Dell G2 LCD displays, the Dell G2410 is an upgrade from the Dell G210 in that it offers a larger 24” (versus 22”) display with a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 (versus 1680x1050). In all other ways, however, the G2410 is practically a duplicate of its peer. For instance, the G2410 also features a built-in ambient light sensor that responds to surrounding brightness by automatically adjusting screen brightness levels, a ‘PowerNap’ screensaver application that dims the monitor to a minimum brightness or ‘sleep mode’ when requested, a running power consumption of 18W, and a sleep-mode power consumption of only 0.15W. The G2410 also boasts both a DVI-D and a VGA (D-Sub) connector, not to mention a 5ms black-to-white response time, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a 1000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The Dell G2410 retails for a more expensive $359.99 (versus $279.99).
