The Dell Latitude E5510 replaces the E5500 as the entry level Latitude notebook. The biggest change is the move from 15.4'' to 14.6'' chassis. The means the E5510 has a smaller foot print than the E5500.

Intel's Core i3/5 processors also replaces the Core 2 Duo processors used in the E5510. A host of features have been added including Latitude ON, a new fast response free fall senor, an extended 3 year warranty with the battery, improved security and systems management system, and mobile broadband options. The E5510 can be considered as the cheaper option to the E6410. It lacks the tri-metal body and extended battery life but it does share the same Latitude E docking port which is compatible with a range of docking stations.
