Dell Precision M4500
$1,239.00
Released April, 2010
The Pros:Textured outer shell looks great, resists fingerprints. No noticeable flex on the lid or any panel, feels very tough. USB ports on either side to suit the current setup.
The Cons:Doesn't have an HDMI output. Fairly large chassis, can't be carried around casually. Gets uncomfortably hot if you rest it on your lap.
The Dell Precision M4500 replaces the M4400 as Dell's 15'' mobile workstation notebook. This iteration of the 15'' Precision notebook sees the switch from 16:10 ratio display to the increasingly popular (amongst manufacturers) 16:9.

Other changes includes the the additional of Intel Core i5/i7 processors replacing the Core 2 Duo processors. What remained was Dell's selection of high resolution displays offering an option for all types of budget, also remained is the Nvidia Quadro FX professional graphics processor for use with 2D and 3D design applications. Various hard drive and solid state drive options have also been added including drives with full encryption. A wide array of security options remains including smar card reader, finger print reader, TPM 1.2 module, and Wave Embassy Trust Suite (software).
