The Dell Studio 14z is a lightweight notebook computer aimed at users on-the-go. This 14 inch (1366 x 768) notebook lacks a DVD optical media drive, as it’s aimed at students and other buyers who are more likely to download software and other content than use a disc-based equivalent. This notebook’s base model includes a 1366 x 768 resolution widescreen display, a 2.0GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core processor, 3GB of DDR3 memory, a 250GB hard drive and an Nvidia GeForce 9400M G integrated graphics card. Other features include 802.11b WiFi, HDMI out, an eSATA port, 3 USB ports and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. Users can upgrade to a 1600 x 900 screen, a Core 2 Duo processor, 5GB of memory, up to 500GB of hard drive storage, plus add 802.11n and Bluetooth connectivity if needed. Color options are also available through Dell’s website.
