The Dell Studio XPS 13 is a high performance notebook computer designed to be both mobile and stylish. The Studio XPS 13 has genuine leather and metal accents to compliment the magnesium alloy notebook’s glossy black or red finish. The keyboard is backlit so users can type in the dark. The base model has a 13 inch widescreen display at a 1280 x 800 resolution, a 3.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 3GB of DDR3 memory, a 250GB hard drive and Nvidia GeForce 9400M G integrated graphics. Other features include a DVD/RW drive, wireless 802.11n, 2 USB ports, 1 FireWire port and a 6-cell battery. Users looking for multimedia features should appreciate the integrated 2.0 megapixel webcam, an 8-in-1 media card reader and HDMI out for use with HDTVs. Numerous upgrades are available through Dell’s website for users wishing to customize their Studio XPS 13.

- terrible fan exhaust placement (back left of the base) meaning the exhaust gets the bottom left of the screen hot.
