The Dell UltraSharp 2709W is a 27" widescreen LCD monitor that is an upgrade in screen size and specifications to the 2009W. The monitor utilizes Dell's TrueColor technology and has a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 to provide crisp images and lifelike color reproduction. It includes extensive connectivity options including VGA, DVI-D, Component, and Composite inputs as well as an HDMI input for full HD image quality. The UltraSharp 2709W also has four USB ports and a DisplayPort for compatibility with advanced video cards and future systems. It is designed with a height adjustable stand and the screen can be tilted or swiveled to achieve the optimum viewing angle. The UltraSharp 2709W is Energy Star qualified and comes with a 3 year limited warranty.

Pros
- 1080p capable resolution (1920 x 1200px)
- huge variety of inputs
- large screen size
- higher dot pitch than most monitors (same resolution as 24" monitors) - allows users to sit back further when watching media, or better for those with poorer vision
- tilt, swivel and height adjustments
- quality assured, 3-year warranty
- quality S-PVA panel - accurate colours, good viewing angles
Cons
- expensive
- higher dot pitch than most monitors (same resolution as 24" monitors) - larger pixels are noticeable when sitting close, may make image appear fuzzy
- back light bleed/consistency issues
- high input lag (60 ms / ~ 3 fps), poorer choice for hardcore gamers
